March 9, 2010 - Peer to Peer Mentoring

Join a peer mentoring study being conducted by Dr. Mary Bell at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Training to be provided to individuals with early inflammatory arthritis.

                                                ELIGIBILITY

  • Diagnosis of  Inflammatory Arthritis (e.g., ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis)
    for more than 2 years from a doctor
  • Currently using medications (DMARDS/biologics) to treat arthritis
  • Aged 18 years or older
  • Able to understand, read and speak in English
  • Able to participate in two approximately 5-hour training sessions (10 hours in total)
  • Able to take part in ongoing assessment/evaluation activities
  • Able to commit to the duration of the research study
  • Willing to provide ongoing one-on-one support to an individual newly diagnosed with IA;
  •  Able to speak, understand, read and write in English
