Leading patient groups respond to cannabis excise tax proposal

Wednesday Nov 15, 2017

As you may have heard, the federal Department of Finance has announced a proposal to apply an excise tax to both non-medical and medical cannabis.  Canadian Spondylitis Association, supports the Canadians for Fair Access to Medical Marijuana (CFAMM) and its campaign #DontTaxMedicine (DontTaxMedicine.ca).  Canadian Spondylitis Association believes the proposal would lead to further affordability challenges for patients. Medical cannabis must be treated as other prescribed medicines and accordingly be exempt from all taxes.

If you support CFAMM’s position, please go the DontTaxMedicine.ca for information on how to write letters and support in other ways
